2002年より開催されてきた国内最大級のジャズ・フェスティバル「東京JAZZ」は、2021年に20回目を迎え、新たなステージへ。前年の2020年は新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響もあり、「TOKYO JAZZ +plus LIVE STREAM」と題してYouTubeで世界に無料発信し大きな反響を呼んだ。2021年はさらにバージョンアップして、この日33周年のアニヴァーサリーを迎えるブルーノート東京からライヴ配信を実施。本年のテーマは「音楽で世界を旅するフェス」。オンラインで世界中のトップJAZZミュージシャンとコラボレーションを可能にした。

TOKYO JAZZ is the largest Japanese jazz festival that has been held since 2002. This festival was held in 2021 to celebrate its 20th edition, marking the beginning of a new stage. In the year 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was conducted and broadcast globally on YouTube under the theme ‘TOKYO JAZZ +plus LIVE STREAM,’ creating a significant impact. In 2021, it expanded even further, with a live stream from BLUENOTE TOKYO celebrates its 33rd anniversary. The concept for this year is ‘A Jazz Festival Touring the World.’ It has made collaboration with top jazz musicians worldwide possible through the internet.

本公演のメインステージとなる東京は、様々なカルチャーが混在し独自の多様な文化を作り上げている独創的な地。さらに時代を超えた新旧のTOPアーティストの共演、そして国境の壁を超え、アナログとデジタルを融合させた新しい音楽公演のあり方を体現する本公演を表現するために、今までのJAZZのイメージを払拭するようなクリエイティブなビジュアルを製作。
様々な要素を様々な質感と表現方法で構成し、即興性のあるJAZZという音楽性と本公演の多様性を表している。

TOKYO, where the main stage of this festival is located, is a unique place that cultivates an original and diverse culture by blending various types of cultures. I created a highly creative visual to sweep away the typical Jazz image. The goal was to express this festival as a new type of music festival, blending analog and digital elements, transcending borders. The composition incorporates a variety of graphic elements, textures, and expressive techniques, aiming to convey the diversity of the festival and the instrumental musicality of Jazz.
