INTRODUCTION

TBSの2019年9月30日から1年半にわたって放送されたワイドショー「グッとラック!」の後継番組としてスタートした情報バラエティ番組「LOVE IT !(ラヴィット!)」のロゴデザイン・ビジュアル・キャラクター開発を担当しました。

I was responsible for the logo design, visuals, and character development for “LOVE IT!”—an infotainment variety show that premiered as the successor to TBS’s wide-show “Gut Luck!” on September 30, 2019, and ran for a year and a half.

IDEA & STRATEGY

「日々の買い物や食事、住まい、お出かけ情報など、暮らしが10倍楽しくなるきっかけを届けるライフスタイルバラエティー」というコンセプトで、「お気に入り」を意味する英語の"Love it"という番組名に決定された。
「日本でいちばん明るい朝番組」というコピーのもと、他局の同時刻帯の番組との差別化を図りながら爽やかで賑やかなカラープランを検証。多様なライフスタイルを取り扱うことから、複数色による展開に。
また、LOVE ITの発音を「ウサギ」を意味する“Rabbit”にかけ、マスコットキャラクターを開発。

The concept of the show is to deliver opportunities that make daily life 10 times more enjoyable, covering topics like shopping, dining, housing, and outing information. Based on this, the program was named "LOVE IT!"—derived from the English phrase meaning “favorites.”
Under the tagline “Japan’s Brightest Morning Show,” we aimed to differentiate the show from others airing at the same time, while creating a fresh and vibrant color scheme. Given that the show covers a variety of lifestyles, the design incorporated multiple colors.
Additionally, the pronunciation of LOVE IT was cleverly linked to “Rabbit,” leading to the creation of a mascot character.

RESULT

出勤前の時間帯ということで、情報番組を主体とする他局を一線を画す「ニュースを一切扱わないバラエティー番組」に振り切ることで明確な差別化を図ることに成功。じわじわと視聴率を安定させ、「朝のバラエティー番組」のポジションを確立させた。

By choosing to create a "variety show with no news content," as opposed to the other networks' information-based programs airing in the same time slot before work, we successfully differentiated the show. This strategic move helped steadily stabilize the ratings and establish the show’s position as a leading “morning variety show.”
