PARA FURNITURE -パラアスリートの目線から着想を得たオフィスの個性をつくる家具-

パラ卓球選手たちが挑戦する世界を可視化した、パラ卓球台。
その思想と造形を受け継ぎ、ファニチャーとして新しく生まれ変わりました。

パラ卓球の振興と障がい者スポーツの発展を目指す「一般社団法人日本肢体不自由者卓球協会」と建築テック系スタートアップ「Vuild株式会社」との協業で制作した家具。
パラ卓球選手は、だれよりも自由に卓球をする。不自由だからこそ辿り着いたプレースタイルで、どんな常識も打ち破っていく。そんな彼らの強さを、パラ卓球というスポーツの魅力を、多くの人に知ってほしい。そのような想いからこのパラ卓球台は生まれました。
パラファニチャーはパラ卓球台が持つ個性と概念に実用性を実装させることで家具としての個性を兼ね備えました。障害やスポーツというジャンルを超え、より多くの方々にパラファニチャーを実用していただくことで、D&Iの社会実装を目指します。

The Para Table Tennis Table: A visual embodiment of the challenges faced by para-athletes.

Inheriting its original philosophy and form, it has been reborn as a new line of furniture.

This furniture is the result of a collaboration between the Japan Para Table Tennis Association (JPTTA), which strives to promote para-sports, and the architectural tech startup VUILD.

Para table tennis athletes play with a sense of freedom that surpasses all others. Their playstyles—evolved through physical necessity—shatter conventional norms and expectations. This table was born from a desire to share their inner strength and the profound appeal of para-sports with the world.

By integrating practical utility with the unique identity and concepts of the original competition table, we created “Para-Furniture.” Our goal is to transcend the boundaries of “disability” and “sport.” By bringing Para-Furniture into daily life, we aim to facilitate the social implementation of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I).

ワークスタイルや空間デザインに寄り添う設計、日常使いに求められる耐久性、そして細部にまで行き届いた意匠。家具としての機能と佇まいを、高い次元で両立しています。天板と脚部には、それぞれの形状に最適な加工を施し、滑らかな手触りとインテリアへの高い親和性を実現。象徴的な天板のフォルムは、空間のアイコンとなり、自然なコミュニケーションと創造性を引き出します。ワークデスクとしてあるいは、卓球を通じた社内コミュニケーションの場として。美しさ、機能性、物語性を備えた、ファニチャーです。

Designed to harmonize with modern workstyles and interior aesthetics, this furniture combines the durability required for daily use with meticulous attention to detail. It achieves a high-level balance between functional utility and a refined presence. Both the tabletop and legs have been precision-crafted to optimize their unique forms, offering a smooth tactile experience and a seamless fit within any interior.

The iconic silhouette of the tabletop serves as a visual centerpiece, sparking natural communication and creativity. Whether used as a professional work desk or as a hub for office interaction through table tennis, this furniture embodies a perfect fusion of beauty, functionality, and narrative.

「両腕に特性をもつパラ卓球選手の身体感覚から導かれたフォルム」
丸みを帯びたフォルムが印象的なファニチャー。
やわらかな曲線を描くそのかたちは、空間に自然な一体感をもたらし、人と人の距離をゆるやかに縮めます。囲むように座りやすく、視線や会話が自然に交わるため、少人数の打ち合わせや対話の場に適しています。

【Long type】
「車椅子のパラ卓球選手の身体感覚から導かれたフォルム」
奥行きのある伸びやかなフォルムが印象的なファニチャー。
ストレートなラインを基調とした端正な造形は、空間に静かな緊張感と明快なリズムを生み出します。十分な作業面と整った距離感を確保しやすく、会議から共同作業まで幅広く対応します。

This furniture is defined by its striking, rounded silhouette. The soft, flowing curves create a natural sense of unity within a space, gently bridging the distance between people. Its inviting shape makes it easy to gather around, encouraging eye contact and natural dialogue—making it the ideal centerpiece for small meetings and intimate creative exchanges.
